VipInChina, Shanghai, China, decides why and how your personal information is processed. You can reach us at privacy@vipinchina.com.
We process your name, contact details, account credentials, travel documents and preferences you give us, payment records, and communications with us. We use them to provide the services you request, process payments, meet legal obligations, keep the service secure and, with your consent, send newsletters. The legal bases are your consent, performance of a contract with you, and legal obligations.
We share personal information only with providers needed to deliver your request, such as hotels, transport operators, consultants, payment, email and hosting providers, and with authorities where the law requires. Providers act on our instructions and are bound to protect your information. We do not sell personal information.
Some of our providers store or process data outside mainland China, so your personal information may be transferred abroad. Before any transfer we tell you the recipient, the purpose, the categories of data and how to exercise your rights against the recipient, and we obtain your separate consent. We rely on the transfer mechanism required by Chinese law where it applies.
We keep personal information for the shortest period needed for the purposes above, and for as long as the law requires. After you delete your account we anonymize your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to retain it.
You have the right to know about and decide how your personal information is processed, to access and obtain a copy of it, to correct or complete it, to have it deleted, to withdraw consent, to ask us to explain our processing rules, and to request transfer of your information where the law allows. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
Our services are not directed at children under 14. We process the personal information of a child under 14 only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
To exercise your rights or raise a concern, write to privacy@vipinchina.com or VipInChina, Shanghai, China. We aim to reply within 15 working days. You may also complain to the competent personal-information protection authority.
We will publish changes to this notice on this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
